Most people will eventually leave the home they grew up in and find a home of their own. However, everyone’s reasons are different. Statistics derived from a 2001 Department of Family and community Services Survey received results to why people move out. The main reasons for
people leaving home are to further their education and seek employment making up 27%, establish an independent lifestyle with space and privacy creating 5% and they have formed a new relationship. Not to mention, they may have decided to move into a shared accommodation with friends, been asked to leave by parents or even due to disagreements with their parents which makes up 16%. Evidently, there are many reasons for individuals leaving home as provided.
